I went to the Renaissance Fair today. That was fun. I bought myself four dragon picture/painting things. I never spend money on myself, and it feels good to have done so for a change. And I LOVE my dragons, so it's totally worth it. .

Unfortunately, however, I'm suffering a nasty skin infection. My dermatologist suggested waxing my legs instead of shaving them. However, my unusually sensitive skin is prone to infection. My hair follicles are infected now. It's like, a staph infection of my hair follicles. It looks kinda gross, but you're talking to the science nerd who, of course, finds it really cool at the same time. Except for the fact that it hurts. A LOT. The first night it itched like crazy. Now it just hurts. To touch, to walk, to move, to wear the long pants that I use to protect people from the terrible sight of my gross-looking legs... It just hurts. No fun.

Especially because I'm working so much. I lifeguard at an indoor pool. It gets hot on deck, so wearing long pants is not particularly comfortable. But I've been working an unusual amount lately, making lots of good money before I go off to school. So that's good. And hopefully my legs will clear up, since my dermatologist has since given me medication to help heal them. Hopefully I'll be able to post a happy update of healing soon.
